Barcelona is a city which has a rich culture and an extensive history. Museo Picasso De Barcelona - Picasso is one of the most famous Spanish of all times, and it was in Barcelona where he honed his talents. Catalan National Art Museum - One of the best features of this museum is the building in which it is housed. The palace overlooking the fountains of Montjuic is a deserving setting for the fine range of gothic masterpieces which can be found here. The art on display is diverse in nature and ranges from drawings and paintings to sculptures and engravings amongst other things. Here you can follow the progression of Catalan art over the years.

MACBA Barcelona contemporary Art Museum - If you are a lover of modern art then this museum will be right up your street. There is an extensive collection of modern artworks from a variety of different artists around Europe and the rest of the world.

Nice list of great museums in Barcelona. In a top 4 list I would include the Joan MirĂ³ museum as well.
